Hello! Have scoured the forum and hoping to get confirmation before I install my new Aspen C3. It will be going on top of laminate flooring, topped with a layer of 1/4" hardie board topped by a single sheet of 22ga brushed stainless steel, 36 wide, 42 long.

Given the ember protection and no-added R value, it appears this should be adequate, but am keen to confirm that this is enough.

Thank you for any insight!

I would extend the hearth in front of the stove as much as is reasonable. The radiant heat may cause the laminate flooring to buckle.
