Having our first fire of the season this evening. Upper 40s outside. Watching MLB playoffs with my family. Of course the pets get close to fire. Grateful for nights like this. 🍻Cheers to the 2024/2025 burning season

I lit our first 'real' fire last night too (I had done my two wee break-in fires last week but they don't really count. LOL) ...I just forgot to snap

I won't have my first fire until around Thanksgiving, right now I just run the electric heat and let the solar panels pay for it.
A couple of cold nights, and an aging mother-in-law is visiting, so we have started. Morning and evening to start.
We're going to get a warmup this week so I will probably burn evenings only for a bit.
(Love the critters close to the fireplace--I miss our cats!)
