I found that snowblowers are more fun than I would have thought. Send it!Lived up north all my life and have yet to join the snow blower club
I can proudly say the same about lawnmowers...
Back in the old ( read lean) days I dragged a log behind the Jeep Wagoneer with one shorter and one longer chain, to plow, after a fashion, and pack our 1/4 mile drive.i pack it by driving on it,then remove it in the spring with a bobcat, i also remove it from the complete yard with the bobcat
That is quite impressive - especially being in northern Canada. I had riding mowers for years, but didn't have one last season for the most part. Used a walk behind lawn mower, self propelled though. I really didn't mind, just planned on it taking longer. Not young, late 60s.Lived up north all my life and have yet to join the snow blower club

Had a little Pam left in a can and used it today. I was more comfortable giving the chute and all those moving parts a good coating than with wd40. It sprayed easier and coated heavier than the wd. While it wasn’t the best test, the snow was drier at 17deg., everything did stay clear. Will be getting another can.I’ve heard Pam spray works well for that too.
I'd love to have a yard like that. If I knew then - buying the house 40 years ago what my lifestyle would be now, I'd be in a rural area with woods for firewood. I wasn't aware of the packing method until reading a few posts here. That would be fine given our SUVs are AWD and my truck is 4WD,. Only thing is the end of the driveway by the road sometimes ends up with a lot of snow. Then again, to a point it could beNo lawns, my yard is natural.....
Interesting the Pam seemed to work. That will be on my shopping list.Had a little Pam left in a can and used it today. Yea a warm spell will force me to fire up the bobcatPacking has its limits come spring.
I can get through a bunch of snow as well, as can the wife, but the delivery people don't give our driveway a very good effort. If I don't keep it in good shape I have to track down any deliveries elsewhere. It's easier to stay on top of it.Yea a warm spell will force me to fire up the bobcat
But i have Blizzaks on my winter beater, so i can push snow with the bumper of it.
Put some of the new G.Y. Weather Ready 2’s on this season. While nothing like the Blizzaks they have the deepest tread I’ve seen on an all weather tire and are a comfort driving in snow. When rear wheel drive cars commonly had slots in the tire rims we had strap on chains to get us out of a fix. Four on each back wheel worked best but you might get by ok with two. I have to admit the snow isn’t the only thing drifting here.Yea a warm spell will force me to fire up the bobcat
