Burning Hunk
Douglas fir Packsaddle pellets. $220/ton. It's a shame you guys back East can't burn these. As an experiment last season, I waited until I had burned 2 tons before emptying the ash pan and it still wasn't full.
If I had anything but elebaseboard, they could keep most all their pellets.I'm jealous of some of the prices you guys are finding! Here's what I found this year in Southern Maryland - Calvert County.

I used Somersets and American Wood fiber last year. I liked the Somersets the best-good heat and low ash.
I've burnt cubex they worked well for me to nice stove looks like we have the same one how are you liking it, no issues for me through the first season I burnt over 3 tonCubex I have never been disappointed! 4 Tons being delivered tomorrow
I paid right around $230 per ton but that includes a $69 delivery fee for 7 tons so I got pimped a bit but was having trouble finding Sets here so I jumped on them. Now I just found a place selling tons of Sets for $219 per ton locally so they are going to be around. Last year I paid $224 per ton for Sets.Hello Bags, hope you could share what the price is out there. We are paying 259 on the East Coast mid-atlantic Maryland.
Thanks
Edward
Collingwood Tn Zip code 38450 is 883 miles from us, and the transportation is strong for the Greenways. Should be closer for you.I paid right around $230 per ton but that includes a $69 delivery fee for 7 tons so I got pimped a bit but was having trouble finding Sets here so I jumped on them. Also a good friend of mine just called and told me he just bought Greenways for $205 a ton here. I may grab some of them to start stocking up. My friend has burned both Sets and Greenways for seasons at a time and like them both a whole lot. He said they are very similar and really can't tell the difference between the two. Both come from hardwood mills and hardwood flooring co's.
That is why I am changing my pellet buying strategy a little. Since I know the Greenways are good and found cheaper Sets I intend to start stocking up for next season. Then I know I'm covered and I can shop for deals at leisure. I have a small farm and plenty of inside storage etc. so I am going to get a step ahead. And if I find good pellets cheap or on clearance they will be snagged.

Bought my 3 ton of blazers during prebuy for 299 per ton which is a steal where I am in mass, outside of rare occurrence they show up at a home depot. Even home depot around here now has sub part pellets at 279 per ton, like green supreme.Gotta buy around memorial day..Im in SOMD as well and picked up my 4 tons of Hammers for $265 and free delivery!

Sneads Ace hardware in Lusby...I went in there for something else around Memorial day and they were having a sale so on the spot I bought 4 tons. Not sure if delivery was supposed to be free but the high school girl at the counter rang it up and I didn't ask questions.Who did you buy them from?

Yea I think the young girl forgot to ring that up. Their deliver should be free, I did most of the unloading. They sent a 16 year old kid who had to weigh 150 lbs to unload 4 tons. Needless to say I unloaded probably 3 of the tons myself.Sneades is selling Hammers now for $269 per ton. But the delivery fee is $137 for 3 tons. You got a steal on free delivery!
