I have always liked maple but my Mom's fave was apple & cherry. Had some black birch that smelled nice coming home to this past winter. Have some locust seasoning but have never burned it. Had some ash in my stacks that also burned pretty well...as did the oak. That being said, I still like maple..
I always wanted to have a red oak scented candle, along with a bacon one.

As for the perfect candle...bacon, maple, & coffee sounds like the perfect blend to me.
