OAK will supply outside air for combustion of your stove. That way you're not using air you've already paid to heat for combustion that will head right up the chimney, wasted.

I’m reading many mixed reviews on OAK. Going to see how it’s running/heating my house after I replace the chimney (looking like final parts will be here Wed). Then I’ll look into an OAK.

All pieces of the new chimney fit together so far (5/6 pieces arrived). Delivery changed from today to tomorrow on the 24x6 wall pipe. The suspense is killing me! Can’t wait to update tomorrow when she’s up and running

I think there’s prob another thread that discusses this, but how much should I be paying for pellets? I have Inferno Ultra Premium, a few bags leftover from before the stove stopped working. Believe it was $5 give or take for a 40-lb bag. Does that sound expensive, cheap, and any idea if that’s a “good” brand? Now that this is up and running, I’ve shut down all my other heat. Looking to maximize value and minimize my heating costs, obviously, but without buying cheapo pellets that will create more nightmares. (I am willing to buy in bulk if anyone can recommend a place where I can do that, online or in store)
Thanks guys. Thing is CRANKING out heat now. Of course I fix it yesterday and it’s the warmest day in the northeast in weeks, 10° above average, just too hot to run it the one day I finally get to test it. But the cold will be back tomorrow so I’m excited to really see how well she heats the house.
