641 is exactly what mine is set at and is a good setting . But one thing you need to keep in mind is that the bottom 3 numbers mean absolutely nothing above setting number 2 on the upper heat main button. They only fine tune setting 1+2 on the main heat button . So when you turn it down to 1 or 2 on the main you can really idle it down to luke warm if you want . but be careful it will starve itself out of fuel. But you can make a hopper last a long time on not so cold days.
