The cartridge heaters (ignitors) arrived yesterday. Had to sign at the post office for them. Just finished installing it. Was a real pain finding a fitting so I drilled out a common brass fitting that had threads on the inside which is easy to find, drill less that 3/8 for a tight fit,some filing involved. It fired right up. Total cost for (5) shipped plus a fitting = 30 bucks. Happy.

Good deal, glad it worked. I might have to order some of them and rig up a spear one, I'm sure
sure I'll need it sooner or later.
 
By the way for anyone interested...the whole rod gets hot-not the end, and when you put it in a tube (without touching the sides) I assume the heat is so much more intense, enough to light the stove. Tempo sent me a huge catalog with every configuration possible of heater, if anyone needs some specs...
 
somewhere in that contraption is an ignitor. I don't about the air system or even why you would need it,ignitors light fires just fine as long as they are near pellets. That looks like an expensive gadget.
