Yes, cap goes on raised square (46DVA-HC or 58DVA-HC) and it will have an open tray around it, acting as a heat dissipater protecting the vinyl siding adjacent to the raised outside edging. Best always to have a gas tech install gas piping and venting. Stay warm.
