I had this issue about 6-7 years ago. They don't list a part for this and they don't seem to know what it is. Wondering if someone here can steer me in the right direction.
It is the pin that is connected to the door handle that keeps the door shut. Many people and ESW point to the hinge pins but that is not it.

Thanks in advance.

Any chance you could post a picture? I'm not at home to look at mine right now. I THINK I know what you're referring to but not 100 %.

I am running it right now. I can post a pic tomorrow. It is the pin that secures the door. There is an outside handle that you push down and on the other side there is a pin that secures it against a plate. It is the only thing that secures the door.

Englander doesn't make them anymore or know where to get them anymore.
If anyone knows where to get them it would be appreciated.

I'm familiar as I have the insert version. I'll look when I get home and see if I can come up with anything.

Looked at mine last night. Crusted over but that's what it looked like to me and was going to be my suggestion!
