Damn. I've had this happen a few times, and invariable, the replacement unit shipped to owners affected by the recall lacks the one feature that had you requiring that model in the first place. The last time it happened, a little more than a year ago, we had a unit that I had purchased for our crawl space recalled. Because the crawl space celing height is low, I had purchased an integral pump unit with side exhaust, but the only replacement offered for the recall had top exhaust requiring a higher ceiling height than our crawl space has. The end result has been constant freezing-up of the replacement unit.
