Hopper full or empty no difference. Does do it worse when hopper feed door opens.
I'll push it to 5 and report back. Sorry to OP to be hijacking his thread, but any suggestions may help both of us.

I too have a new 52i and it sounds about like yours. One sound that really scared me was a very loud grinding and a pop from the arguer last night. Apparently there must had been an extra long pellet in the hopper and it didn't like that.

Yes, this topic has been beat to death over the past few years. At least Harman is consistent...

I too have struggled with a solution and I have it tolerable now... Yes, it 's design, but also appears to be attributed to air velocity. Some also believe it is more prevalent with different types of pellets, but I haven't come to any conclusions based on my experience. Additionally, I seem to notice this phenomenon on stove temp more than room temp. For me, the woofing was worse at mid fire. Here are my solutions in no particular order:

1. Covered my air intake at the stove with aluminum tape, 50% of the intake is covered... I had WAY to much air resulting in a very angry flame.
2. Run on Room Temp manual
2a. Installed Skytech wireless thermostat

Why are 2 and 2a related? Running this way keeps me at low or high flame, little in between. This virtually eliminates the flame height where the woofing happened most feverishly.

While this is a work around and it certainly shouldn't be necessary, I REALLY like having the wireless thermostat for ease of family use, accuracy and pellet consumption seems very acceptable. See my sig for more details on the Skytech install.

Switched over the pc45 this AM to burn straight corn. Still have a pulsing. Shut stove down after 2 hours as even in room mode, manual, the stove was getting hotter and room was 76 and rising as the corn was burning so hot. Switched the stove back to pellets and blended out the hopper so can burn on manual so crosslink can keep the floor warm as its 20 outside and lots of wind. So have pulsing on three brands of pellets and straight corn.

Bioburner, just for S&G....do you have an extra section of PV you could temporarily add just before your termination?

just for the heck of it, try pushing your feed adjuster to 5.......any difference?

Pushed it to 5 for the day no difference.

What i do find interesting is that when the flame flutters/woofs and it is at the say suction stage of the flutter i can hear air being drawn in the small opening around the combustion blower shaft. Kind of like if you purse your lips and inhale in rapid short successions. It's a faint sound but it's there. I'm surprised there is not a sealed bearing there. Don't know if this is contributing to the issue but since the opening is by design and years ago i didn't have flutter and now i do i believe something else has changed, but I'm still hunting.

Also, with the heavy pulse of pressure i would expect the exhaust to pulse as well. It doesn't. I can put my hand over the exhaust on the outside of the house and there is no pulse. It's a steady air flow.
