Never been sorry about that trailer load of Jotul gas stoves. Paid $1,800 total and sold them for $33,000.

nc30 specs say its a cleaner burn 1.6gram vs myriad at 5.7 grams.
specs say nc30 is a slightly bigger volume firebox.
also i think nc30 is made in usa, and drolet in canada if you have a preference

Yep, so if you're in an area with current/future air quality restrictions, that may be another factor in your decision.

It did in mine.

Englanders are made here in va. That sealed the deal for me. Stihl saws are assembled here in Va Beach as well. purchased my 30 and ms-291 since Nov. and I'm hooked. Thanks for all the knowledge and humor imparted by the regulars here and for the questions asked by the ignorant I had not thought to ask.

I bet the folks at Glover Enterprises won't be sending you Christmas cards. ;lol

I think I'm gonna stay with the nc30! Hope i catch the sale and get some money back, and if not it's still a good deal at $899 if it's as good as everyone says! We actually ordered two last week, my buddy's putting one in his shop as well (3800 sq ft spray foamed pole barn) . My decision was primarily made by a few things....support on this forum( englander guy chimed right in), option for legs as I prefer them over the pedestal, made in the USA, and the 100 + five star reviews on Home Depot! I'll update how she does when I get my smoke dragon out and the 30 installed! As a previous poster said "$189 don't mean squat over the life of the stove"! Thanks again!

Only thing i dont care for about my 30 is that its so short. I got em propped up on an additional 16" pedestal besides the one that came with the heater, got 2 extra sets of legs laying around somewhere.

Lets see some pre install and post install pics - Good Luck with the NC30! maybe out of 100 reviews Ive only seen a hand full of complaints, usually the complaints were from someone doing a whacky install, remember the NC30 needs a minimum chimney height of 15ft to function properly.

I should be ok on height...I have 9' of double wall from my ceiling out and 11'6" ceilings...unless that things 5' tall or more I should be dialed in

Don't worry about missing out on the Drolet. I have sold a version of them in the past. Decent stoves. Just remember you got a monster stove from a great USA based company for under a grand. You have a chance to get money back if there is a sale. Look ahead, your $ per "good" ratio is awesome.

Paid $650 on sale for both of my 30s bought a year apart. I figured i paid about $1.53 per pound. Cant even buy hamburger for that price.

Exactly! I'm sure I'll be tickled! Made in the USA and great customer service at a price that's a great value! Can't beat it, shouldn't have questioned it, but that "sale" price is the only thing that had me questioning my purchase! I'm pretty sure I did the right thing!

I havnt seen those prices for a few years now ,so they may have adjusted their production so as not to have to discount inventory. You might not see that price again but that was the price including free curbside delivery and 0% interest for a year. A heck of a package. From Home Depot by the way

That's ok....I figure at $899 it's a fraction of the $2375 shipped I was gonna spend on the ideal steel! If it heats any where near as good I'll be ecstatic!

Yea the 30 is a good stove to get your feet wet with. About as simple to operate as they come. Even a cave man could do it.(disclaimer) No offense to all NC-30 operators.

I'm sure it's going to be a little different than my progress in the house, but it'll be fun learning it's mannerisms.

Current set up....the smoker

Yes all 8 3" pipes are functional and actually works well if you can feed it....

It's in my shop where I mostly work on hot rods...and my buddy that's a mechanic is taking it to his shop. All the car guys love it and it's amazing how well it disperses the heat with that setup....the only pro stock wood furnace in the county! ;)

And fell over.

Here's yer shirt.

It arrived!

Hey Wildcatbb, upon un-crating, did you find a whole lot of metal beads the size of poppy seeds?

Inspected an Englander last weekend and found two palm full of what looks like metal blasting beads. The insert was otherwise in perfect condition, paperwork and all. Just looked like someone at the loading dock opened the door, christened its journey by throwing a handful of metal poppy seeds at the insert, then closed the door, secured the outer box and wished it a good trip.

I pulled the bricks and vacumed it out, looks perfect, but has me scratching my head.
