Harman stoves don't need a pre-burn ... They're perfect!Hard to believe most dealers don't do a 'pre-burn' to get rid of the paint fumes before doing an install…
Good luck with your stove...

Currently listening to the tinkle, tinkle, and huffing paint fumes.
Hey bonesy. I did the same. Actually built about the same time and we are both in NEPA. Obvioiusly I haven't finished the basement yet. Only issue I've had is some slight movement in one of the walls. I've been keeping my eye on it, but I think it's stabilized. No water in the baseement ever, and we are on a wet plot. I doubt I'd be saying the same if we had block or poured foundation. I'll shoot you a PM.Kaboom, not to get too far off subject here, but how do you like those superior walls? I've got them in my home that was built in '09. I opted to go another foot or two taller, in order to have a nice drop ceiling when I finish the basement.
A dealer that does a pre-burn will not only let the paint cure to eliminate those paint fumes but will also have the chance to make sure your new stove is operating properly before installing it. Not all stoves are perfect right out of the box...Mine came in the box and I unpacked it myself. I wouldn't want it any other way.

I agree Ron, After a few hours of man smell from the stove it was all good here also.Your logic sounds good for you but the comparison to a car doesn't fly with me. There is no odometer or hour meter on my Harman. If it's been burned before I got it I would consider it used and would want a discount. Just my opinion. The paint issue wasn't a problem for me. I opened the window next to the stove and put a fan in it blowing out for the first 2hours of my stoves active life. No fumes in the house at all.
