Wife has a lot of luck with that Facebook yard sale, we just bought a reclining sofa and loveseat off of the yard sale for $100.00 looks like it was never used.

Does your Astroflamm have that blue gear box 1 RPM Auger Motor? If so do you like it or did you replace it with a regular one?

I haven't replaced the auger motor on the Austro yet. It's on the list of things to do. It's a little noisy. The one on the stove is an M-K. It's not blue.

CL is great, that's where I got my 25-pvdc. Picked it up for 350 and it came with the pipe. Unlike others that needed a good cleaning mine was clean as could be and looked like it just shipped from factory.

The only caution for Craigslist is to be super cautious as to where you go and when. You don't want to end up in a seedy looking neighborhood at night and go into a house with people that make you uncomfortable. In other words, use common sense. Same goes for going to buy that 'unbelievable' deal on that 64 1/2 Ford Mustang. You will never be seen again. If possible, do your business outside with other people around and, if allowed, pack heat that can be seen.

I do most of my CL transactions close to work - which means a Lowes or grocery store parking lot. Of course the Hastings and a couple of futons were at people's houses; my ex was there helping transport the stove, and the other two places they had the items already outside when I got there (I assume they were worried about the possibility of my scoping out their stuff). I did have a guy come into the house to take away the junk pvdc, but I had my own protection (and he brought his wife with him).

Have bought and sold many items off craigslist, bought the stove in my avatar for $450, cleaned it, few weeks later sold it for $900.
Seen Free Pellet stoves and some for $200 they were whitfields, 4 yrs ago got a friend a Breckwell 23i for $300, he still using it, guy was selling for $200, buyer was coming , told him tell the guy to go home I'll give you $300, guy came with kids in the car told them it was sold and we showed up.
Last year picked up the Advantage 3 for $250, all it needed was a good clean and new brick, still havent decided to restore it and sell or just keep it for parts like the control board etc...
