I just bought a house that has a cawley 500 wood burning stove. I am trying to learn how to use it. There is front door, a draft adjustment at the bottom an a top cover. I am wondering what the top cover is for? I do not see any damper attached to the chimney. Would appreciate your feedback regarding the top cover and what it is used for.
