From a usability standpoint, I’ll take a princess over an Ashford any day!
Ok that is you. And thats fine for you I could never bring myself to pay for something that looks that bad when there are other options that look way better and work well.

This is not a BK. Step top, air control under the Ashlip, arched door, ashlip shape, weird basket weaved vents, odd cerimacs...... none of which are BK.

Better send that freebie back then.

I know nothing about step-top models, but I think Blaze King has all sorts of old manuals on their website. I also thought I’ve seen pictures of old ceramic flame decorations on Blaze Kings in the Classics forum.

@BKVP is surely the expert we need here.

I will be at the end of the season. He lent it to me and i appreciate it greatly. I am very happy to have the opportunity to try one. But i still wouldnt pay for a princess.

Yes many old ones did have similar ceramics. But webby has spoken so apparently there is no possible way this could be a bk.

They do have several old colors of ceramics, not like the one pictured, shape or color.

It may very well not be a bk. But i dont see how any of us can say that with the info we have now.

Ya, sure ain’t beautiful like an nc30...;lol
Or The Summit ;-) And the NC30 is a hell o lot better looking then any fat bottom BK. That's fer damn sur :-)

The BK thread will prolly be lit up now. I love it.

Not our stove. Seller is wrong. There were several stove companies that used "King" or "Blaze" in their company names, but not both. I will assume that creating the confusion.

So now we can move on...

Because we all have experience and expertise in different areas. That’s what makes this site so great.

6K for a pellet stove? Then the cost of pellets on top of that? Wow!
3300 - Harmon XXV - this is 1k off list price
1200 - Install
700 - Battery and Inverter plus cables.
Rest of it Cleaning Stuff and Pellets for 1st Year. 5 tons at 199 plus delivery

Gets expensive. I got tired of Wife's complaining about ash and such in house in spring. Compared to Wood stove it's joy to clean. Not joy to buy pellets when I had 10 cords ready to go, split up and dry and stacked. Oh well. Got 3 tons to start and after 1/2 ton I went ahead and got 2 more tons. Looks like it would not be enough.

It's going to be cheaper to heat with Furnace in warm temps, anything mid 20's at night. Normally don't start Wood Stove until mid Oct or later. I figured about 30 dollars in elec, but want to test stove. When I need it, I want it to work and be trained on cleaning so it's 2nd nature.

In my experience there is way more dust from pellet stoves than woodstoves.

Nc30 are not beautiful no one said they were. Like most modern plate steel stoves they are fairly boring and neutral looking. But the princess and king just have very strange unbalanced proportions that make them look bad. And this stove has very similar lines and proportions. They are still great stoves i am likeing the princess so far but itnis ugly.
The 50-SHSSW02 also made by englander is much better looking for around the same price. If your going for looks .Also much higher off the floor and bigger fire view.
