Ya, I called the tech and he said it’s probably just the auger finally wearing out and just pulling to many amps. I don’t have amp clamps or I would try that. I’m about to travel back to work in a few days, weather is warming up luckily. Waiting on a call back to see if they have an auger in stock for me to go buy or not..

Ok back to the drawing boards, I very much so made a redneck inline fuse. But it doesn’t blow the fuse and it’s rotating. One to the next thing.. I’ll check the lid switch properly

you are a brave man that is some redneck handywork if i ever seen it...LOL.. You should be testing that in the stove while it has load on it, it may test fine with no load and as soon as it sees load is when the problem begins.. Before you get zapped make your self a real pigtail to plug in..
Ya I was hesitant to touch the frame incase it was shorting out internally, I checked continuity though and was good. I found an auger motor for 70$ online.. the local dealer wants 400$

!!im always sceptic of purchasing things online for my stove unless they have lots of reviews and then il leary.. I have found in the past that you get what you pay for. I purchased a exhaust blower and it did not last the season before it was bad. I filed a claim and changed my review to reflect the issues... the seller never responded but they did report me to amazon and had my review taken down and i am blocked from that seller..LOL.. i never said anything rude just stated the facts.. now i see why that seller has excelent reviews..
Well I’m ordering oem parts from pellet head.com which seems extremely reputable to me, unless someone has a better site I’d gladly look into. I’m newish to the world of pellet stoves I’ve grown up on wood heat, and only reason for pellet was it was brand new in the house at purchase

Pellet head is one of the good sellers, $70 dollar augers are a decent augers it gets iffy when you start buying the $45 dollar range and from unknown sellers.
i have had no real issues with pellet head i found their customer service was extremely poor when i did have issues a few years back.
So, got home from work got the new auger and doesn’t seem to really change anything, I can plug in auger and unplug convection fan and doesn’t pop the fuse. Plug convection fan in and pops fuse now… I’m completely at a loss for what it would or could even be
Here’s another twist, I swapped fans (I got multiple) and it kicks on literally the second I plug in to wall power

Can you put a slower (or slightly larger, but that's maybe not the safest idea...) fuse in there?
Probably wouldn’t be the best idea.. it’s a 5amp 250v fuse.. I spoke with the technician I bought the stove from, he suggested I just take the wire diagram and verify I haven’t mixed a plug with another component.. but the thing tripping me out, the convection fan I have mounted blows the fuse immediately plugging it in, the other fan I plugged in while sitting on the floor next to the stove

Well, sounds like it's the fan. Could you rewire so the fan uses a separate outlet? The convection fan doesn't really need to be controlled by the motherboard, or does it?
All the motors and fans are 120 vac. You can plug each one into the wall outlet and put an amp clamp on one of the wires to check the current draw. If any of the motors reads more than about 1 amp it is bad. Especially if it blows the 5 amp fuse! When the control panel fuse does blow then damage can occur to the triacs that turn these motors on. Many times when the triacs blow the motors get stuck in the on position. Therefore you may also have to replace the control panel.
The fan kicks on when proof of fire switch opens. I disconnected the switch all together and still kicks fan on
I have a brand new control panel, new auger, newish convection fan (new in October) new proof of fire switch, new exhaust fan. I’m literally at a complete loss of where to turn next on this dang thing

So originally, it all started when with the auger motor. Reading back from the start of this post, I tested the auger motor by plugging it into the wall. It worked and I checked literally every component. So I ordered a new control board, wasn’t it. Ordered a new auger and it just made the same issues but with the convection fan
Time to run every wire by hand looking for a defect or something it is rubbing against

Just for curiosity sake have you tried plugging your spare exhaust fan into the convection fan plug and see if the fuse still pops? if it does then their is definitely a short somewhere.
Might be helpful if you post some pics of all the wiring and such as someone may see something that you are missing, its easy to do when you get frustrated with something.

I traced all my wires yesterday, verifying all the components are plugged in correctly, I didn’t go as far and rub every inch of check for direct short but i was looking as I was moving the harnesses around. The next step the tech I was on the phone with kept wandering about was perhaps the hi temp thermodisc, not sure if it would be it or not. And I unplugged the exhaust fan and nothing changed and the proof of fire switch. Definitely becoming a mystery I’ll get some pictures and post them in a bit.
