Blue Max splitter hard to start cold.

I suppose you could test the theory that it's not the AW32 hydraulic oil that it making it hard to start by disconnecting the hydraulic pump at the lovejoy connection....??? If the motor starts easy, you've found the problem.

When you found the hydraulic oil leak and added AW32.. is that what was in the hydraulic tank? Or did you just top it off with that? Maybe there's AW46 in there???

My splitter is definitely harder to start in the cold

The 2nd choke he is referring to is the gas shut off , directly below the choke

Now that makes sense, I have left it in the run position ever since I got the thing because there were no starting instructions included.
