Of course the stove should be purchased and jetted correctly for propane. There was a packet with the correct jets and big notices on our cooktop with jetting instructions. Our cooktop was about $350 back in 1995 when I put it in. Basic but nice. I can't imagine how many large pots of pasta water we've boiled and multi-gallon batches of wort for beer that this cooktop has done. Never been an issue.
