Big E sets of smoke alarm after 1 hour

Last night I fired up the stove and left it on setting #2.

I ran it for 3-4 hours. Hardly any build-up on glass. Not nearly as much ash in pot.
AND ... very little smell AND .... no smoke detector going off.

I'd still like to know if I should call the installer about the connection in picture and the outside thimble plate no being sealed on the bottom.
