Where were you able to get that price a ton? Right from their factory or somewhere else? Thanks
I got them through a dealer cheaper then straight from the factory...crazy right

switched over to all softwoods as I like the low ash even though i have a Harman which burns hardwoods fine but always lot of ash.
I find the softwoods ignite quicker, and the better grade leave a powdery white ash with absolutly no clinkers..
cleaning the stove was never a problem but now it takes forever for my ash pan to fill up..
burning EZblaze super premiums and left over ton of Okie Platinums..

Well I was able to score some Curran softwoods for $225/ton. I emailed about the Vermont softies but they wanted $299. For the price difference I am going to try the Curran softies.
Pine softwood from Curran? And here I thought Pine was never a good idea to burn anywhere (from fireplaces to stoves and pellets).
We use currans softwood pellets. They throw some great heat and not alot of ash. This is our 2nd season with currans softwood and its great. We vacuum our stove once a week and our pellet stove is our only heat source for a drafty singlewide trailer. I keep my stove on low and we get roasted lolHello,
I've been burning some hardwoods the last couple of years and last year I got a lot of ash with them. What are some good softwoods available around Northern NY? I was using Waldroff's pellets but I wasn't pleased last season. Maybe I got a bad batch, but they were not very hot and lots of ash. I'm talking clean your stove at least once a day kinda ash and my glass would be dirty within a few hours of cleaning. What's everyone using out there?
Currans is great! Especially their softwood!Around Canton. I haven't heard to many good things about Currans the last few years. Have you used them? I heard a ton of ash.
Im pretty sure vermont pellets are currans except a diff packageStarting our 3rd season of using Vermonts. Great heat, low ash. I got this seasons 4 tons on a pre-season buy at $290/ton. Yeah a bit pricier but they give great heat.

Yes! We got our neighbor switched over to softwood and he loves it alsoDifference between softwood and hardwood is incredible, especially with ash produced.

There are several places in vermont that have currans pellets. I know a currans delivery driver that goes to vt to deliver frequentlyDefinitely not the same. Vermont wood pellets have their own mill outside of Rutland. Currans are from ny I believe.

There are many places thst sell currans pellets but currans bags them in a diff bag. I know for a fact tractor supply and Lowe's sell currans pellets in diff packaging as my husband picks up from currans and delivers to lowes and tractor supply. He just took 40 ton to rutland vt today but im not sure what store.I don’t disagree that currans are sold in Vermont but they aren’t re-bagged Vermont woodpellets. I don’t mind currans but they are not even close to the same quality as Vermonts or green mountain imho.
