Caught a last day 26th anniversary sale at Hamshaw's Lumber here in Keene, NH. Have 3 tons of Barefoots on order at $229 a ton plus only a $19 delivery charge for the whole 3 tons. Can't beat that price for quality pellets.
I finally got to try the Barefoots last month and after the first bag, I was sold. Higher heat and lower ash than the Green Team I have been burning for the last three seasons. Already got the first ton and building the pellet shed for the next three tons. I see nothing but economic failure dead ahead and I want to be sitting on two year's worth by the beginning of June. May be broke, but not cold. Those volcano's in Iceland, once they all come on line will give us memorable winters for the next few years, too. Need to figure how to produce 25% of my food by next spring. We have an economic meltdown here and it gets uglier by the day. The first cities are about to go bankrupt and everything is underwater.
I found a Barefoot supplier down the road about 1 mile from my house. Tried one bag and it worked fine - burned the same as the Lignetics I have used for my first two seasons. Yesterday I purchased 2 tons, $240/ton for next season. They also carry Energex American for $230/ton, and they gave me a bag to try. A bit chilly here this morning so fired up the stove and will check out the Energex.
