Ash disposal

I recently spread ash on my sidewalk after the snow and discovered it does a great job of bleaching the concrete as a bonus. I usually spread it on my lawn, I just wait for a gentle breezy day, stand upwind, scoop a shovelful and throw. Never burned the lawn, but never saw any benefits either.

It does a good but temporary job on moss too.

I've read that ashes are good for fruit trees, so I've been sprinkling it around my apple & cherry trees here, with the extras going on the gravel driveway

I spread mine lightly on grass, vegetable garden and around everything but my acid lovers (blueberries and camellia). Don't really know what else to do with it. Don't want to send it to the landfill and it's certainly easy enough to throw out on the lawn....
