Yes, except that you and half of the known universe seem to forget is that, that, isn't the only place that the combustion blower is drawing its air from.
Ever hear of air washes, bad seals in the feed system when the feed system is exposed to ambient air, under powered combustion blowers, oxygen depleted air, crud in the works, and one of my all time favorites negative room air pressure.
It is a delicate balance, if one wishes to burn and not have to deal with cleaning a burn pot all the time you have at least make sure everything that should be sealed is and that all gaskets are truly functioning.
Otherwise you have to go to low ash pellets or a high ash burn pot and even then it might not make the situation all that much better.
