I knew it would just kill me if I kept looking at CL after buying my brand new stove. kicking self!

Oh well, it was bound to happen. Hope someone gets themself an awesome deal on this one tomorrow!

I've bought all of my stoves off of CraigsList. Usually if it is that cheap they have been beaten to hell. Is there a chance it is a great deal? Sure. But there is a greater chance it will be a problematic stove from the word go.

I'll keep telling myself that. Like a car that has been in an accident and is never quite right again? Thanks!
(nagging feeling inside is telling me these people moved in and had no idea what they are selling. Notice they don't say brand or anything in the ad?)

Hey, you can still check it out, buy it, clean it up and sell it for a few hundred bucks.

Tough to say by the picture. But the white haze on the steel front looks like sure signs of over firing.
I find it hard to believe anyone would let an Olympic go for $75.00, not at least one that is in good shape.

I don't think they know what it is. But you may be right about the overfiring anyway.

I wish it wasn't an 8 hour drive...that would be the perfect replacement for the smoke dragon at the camp.

Tick might be right...they don't know what they have. I missed a Hearthstone Phoenix for $250..it had barely been used. The daughter was selling it after her father died & she knew nothing about the stove nor it's true value.

Now that one is painful.

The worst part is I found the add just after it was posted. After painfully re-constructing the events that followed....it looks like in my "excitement".....I dialed the wrong number and left a message on a strangers voicemail. When I called again, someone was already enroute to get the stove...............
