Apex 42 - Question on flex duct/air intake

Hi -- We just an Apex 42 installed and noticed a small hole in the flex duct leading from the outside to the stove. Below is a picture. Is this something that will affect the operation of the stove or its efficiency/safety? Just wondering if it should be repaired (looks like it might be difficult to get to). Thanks for any insight.

Yes that should be fixed. If you get a back draft smoke gets in there..(assuming this is a fresh air intake although it looks very large for that).
