hello, I’m new to this forum but after browsing around it looks like there’s some great information here!

I’m posting because I’ve searched through the internet pretty extensively today for the brand of stove I picked up today at a garage sale. It kinda looks like it was recently painted? I duno. Either way there are no name plates or any markings that seem to help. The doors have marks and the legs have a L4 mark on them.

Anyways, if anyone knows more about it I’d sure appreciate it! I’d like to get one of those heating plates for the top of it eventually.

Thanks!

It's unusual that there are no identifying labels or marks in the casting. Makes me think it might be a replica stove. This is designed as a coal burner. You might also post on the coal forum at www.nepacrossroads.com for an id.

Hmm ok I’ll give them a try as well, thanks for the lead! It does have soot and whatnot in it, so it’s beem used for sure at some point. We got it from an estate sale and it looks like the guy who owned the place used to have it hooked up, but recently replaced it with an upgraded electric type one that was still attached to the house. This one was just sitting next to the new electric type one as a decor piece.
