I just purchased a new Castle Serenity pellet stove. My previous stove was also a Serenity and lasted 10 years -- something electrical gave out last week that I wasn't able to fix. I set the new stove to the same settings as the old - manual on level 1 with the room blower voltage on max. The new stove is much hotter than the old and the flame is a lot higher than it was in the old. I messaged Ardisam to see if I could lower the feed rate and they said no. Any other suggestions or ideas? If I closed the air damper a little would that help?

Its actually at it’s lowest feed setting, dont mess with the damper if it is set for a good fire. It may be time to go with a thermostat. Would be more stress on igniter but it wont bake you out of the house

The pic on the left is where the damper was on the old stove, pic on the right is the new. I do remember closing the damper a bit on the old stove when I bought it but I can' remember if it was for this reason. Wondering if I close the damper on the new stove if it will slow down the fire. The flame shouldn't be close to touching the top of the stove on the first setting in my opinion. I'm going to mark where it is now and give it a try early next week and report back.

Well, for those of you with the Castle Serenity 2.0 I was able to successfully tame down those big flames on level 1 manual by increasing the exhaust from 2 to 3, and closing the damper past 1/2, room blower set to the max setting (8). Fire is now mostly level to slightly above the burn pot instead of bouncing off the top of the stove. The top of the stove was previously too hot to touch and now I can place my hand there just fine.

One thing to remember no stoves are identical, setting on one may not work for another. But im glad to see your getting it dialed in
