My stove is probably a tad oversized for my cabin but I mostly load it 3/4 to full and burn mostly with the air fully closed. Most normal Winter days I can get away with 12 hour burns but when the weather gets cold and windy the draft increases and the stove automatically burns hotter even on the lowest setting so the burn times will decrease and I shoot for an 8 hour loading schedule.

Shoulder seasons are different, I could burn a half load with a medium air setting for take the chill off fires or a full load on low, it all depends on the weather and my cabin temps.
