Just a thought. I've had zero forced air heat vented in my basement in well over twenty years. Even in single digits and teens below zero for days or weeks I never burst a pipe. Uninsulated block foundation. Holds mid 50'sF all winter. Makes for cold showers however;lol.

My basement is a walk out and located at 7,600 feet in the Rocky Mountains. Neighbors have lost pipes in the past. I plan to install electric baseboard in the basement set to 50F year round to be safe. I expect this may help with the girls room when done also. I have already started the process of insulating the basement. The area under our bedrooms is actually a crawl space. Under the living area and large front porch it turns into walkout basement. The house is cut into a hill.

Unless one lives in a subdivision there are often large variances in house design, plumbing location, construction details and even surrounding soils that will affect freezing pipes.

One option for heat circulation would be to use an insulated, ducted, quiet inline fan to pull air from the kid's room and blow it into the stove room. Run this in the basement and put it on a thermostat if you want to get fancy.

Following this cause I have the same issue moving the air around in my ranch style house without central air. Will definitely give the fan down the hallway a try and see how it works

following likewise. having some difficulty getting the warm air circulated at the house. the house is 2 stories i the back with 1 in the front. the bedroom is directly over the stove, so to keep the bedroom not too hot the idea is a cycle pulling hot air up through the far bedroom and back down through the master, with floor vents. hoping to find vent fans that can switch between pull and push air flow directions. any seasoned folks have a tip or two?

here's a sketch of layout. blue - cool down, red - warm up

Are there fans or blowers you can install inside of duct work?

So this my first 24 hour burn its like 30° outside and the rec room where the stove is, is 82° and the rooms on the opposite side of the house are all 72° so I think I will be ok in terms of the heat circulating throughout the house, at that rate I will not have to turn on any base board heat this winter lol
