The stepped top makes me say NC-30, but the shape of the door says NC-13? Owners says he doesn't know, and has not responded to email asking to read the plate on the back.

That is a Haughs (aka Century Hearth) wood stove and he has the picture reversed.

Hmmm.... so, then:

1) Can't find much info on Haugh's, but Century seems to have a good rep. Yes, no, maybe so?
2) Some Century models SEEM comparable to NC-30 and get favorable reviews here... am I misguided?
3) Worth $250?

You should have jumped on that 30 when you had the chance. I'm gonna smack you......

No debate but for the pocketbook... the Mrs. found out about my stove stash and it was gone so fast... well, you know.

The main point here is that I thought this might be a cheap 30 for the grabbing...

Time for a new stash spot! No sense rushing now, get what you want, and make sure it is in good shape.

Can't make out the words on the insulation in the background, but it appears to read correct; not mirrored.

Way too small to be a 30 .The 30 is at least 10-12 inches deeper front to back. This should be comparable to a 13 in size and heated SF rating.
BB seems to know what it is as usual.

True 'nuff. The guy finally responded with a model number corresponding to the Century. I tried to politely educate his that it wasn't an Englander.

Probably worth the asking price if its an EPA stove and im guessing it is.

It is. However, reviews indicate it would not be capable of pushing enough BTUs for my 2200sf. So back to the 30 it is.
