Just brought home a new Rayco LS 2526 log splitter today. This badboy is impressive! I toyed with the idea of building one, but opted for the Rayco instead. Anybody else have a Rayco here?

Congrats, It's like bringing home a new puppy. you just want to play with it.

What was the damage on that boy? Have you had a chance to run it? I am Dutch (read cheap) so I keep coming back to the Speeco 22T for $1,000 but since I only plan on buying a splitter once... I wonder if this would be a better buy. Thanks!

Wow, you went top of the line. I have been looking for splitters, wanting to buy something nice, and then I saw the web page for the Rayco. Now I won't be satisfied with whatever I buy (it won't be the Rayco, just to much $$ for me), thanks a lot!! :cheese: By the way, can I borrow it?

BEAUTIFUL SPLITTER!
but there prolly isnt many who have one here as most of us prolly couldn't afford that monster!!

Started out at $7,200.00, but I got it for $6k. I started gathering stuff to build a splitter, but needed something now. Plus when I looked at this machine, no other would do. I expect to list this thing in my will. (don't know yet to whom) I split about 4 cords with it this week. It is extremely nice. I didn't think the four way wedge or hydraulic height adjustment option was needed, but once you use it, it's easy to get accustomed to. The log lift is another amenity I wouldn't want to be without now. I split wood with an 8 lb maul for years, but my back can't deal with it anymore. The only problem I have running this baby is, I can't get the smile off my face.

I also looked at a Timberwolf TW5. It has very similar specs, but it's 150 lbs lighter, and the Rayco has some things that I thought made it better.
