This is my first season with our Jotul Oslo. When I'm getting a fire started, I like to open the ash pan door. When I do this, smoke leaks out from the upper end of the seam between the front and left panels of the stove. I didn't see this at the beginning of the winter, but I can't be absolutely sure that I just wasn't noticing it (the light has to be fairly good to see it and I'm usually lighting up in the relatively dark morning.) This doesn't occur when the stove is closed or when I have the front door open (instead of the ash door) a crack for extra air.
There's a bolt inside the stove that joins these 2 panels together, and I am able to get it to tighten. Could a loose connection be causing the problem, or is it more likely to be something else (eg, is there cement or a gasket at the joints)? If it could be the bolt, how much can I tighten it without damaging the bolt or the panel?
