Fella's
I have an Osburn glass door Insert. I don't know the model number. Forgot to look when it was out last time. Sure wish I knew
Anywho, the air control is on the bottom sides, both right, and left sides. Each side has a handle that you pull, sliding a metal plate over a single hole.
The right control seems to do more to the fire, takes it from a raging inferno to a nice slow flame. The left control seems to do nothing, of the right one is not closed. With the left one I can control the fire well with the right one closed. I can almost make the fire go out, if I close the left one.
Another thing I noticed...with the fire cookin' at about 550-600 deg, most of the fire is going right out of the top exit. 7 inch round flue. If I close the built in damper, the fire rolls toward the front of the stove, and exits via three horizontal openings, a baffle maybe? and then out.
I also see a nice pretty blue flame when this happens..
What am I seeing??
