Ordered a Dovre 640CB

Thanks everybody for helping out with my questions
Ordered a Dovre 640CB today should be installed in about a month
Went to the shop today and looked at all the different stoves
I was planning on a Japanese Honma HTC-50TX(Made in China) or a Jotul F100 , Scan or a DutchWest
They were all between $2500 - $3500 , Honma was much cheaper at $750
But nobody would install the cheap wood stoves, asked 3 companies and they will sell the Honma but dont want the risk or responsibility of installation
FireStudio the local woodstove specialist answered all our questions , came to the house measured and gave us an estimate and plan
I liked that they are members of the JFSA(Japan Fireplace Stove Assoc.) , and are prepared to back their installation against a fire accident with their own free insurance

It was nice to see many stoves in one place
My biggest surprise was the Jotul F100 (same size as the Honma HTC-50TX), it looked soooo small sitting next to all the other stoves

Now I have to figure out a way to pay $6500 for the Dovre with chimney pipe and installation
But like the shop said if it is well serviced 20+ years
So I have a spare kidney , any takers ??????

Robert, where is that Dovre stove made, United Kingdom? That's the only place that I know of that they are being made. I have a Dovre Aurora from 1993 that was made here in the States, and it's a great stove. Good luck with yours!

Dovre is made in Belgium but in the UK it is distributed by Stovax

An Englander was on my list but they dont have a Japanese distributor
