Thats kind of what I figured would be the case. It's also 90 here today so not really planning a fire any time soonI would guess you are good to go for full burn, but I usually do a few small fires in the Fall anyway, just to take the chill off....
Wow that was fast. I figured being off season it might take a week before someone got back to me. Instead it was like putting up the Bat signal and you came running in with the info.Bought my metal cat on Amazon from Midwest Hearth

Other sites I captured over time:Just to put this out there for the 3 other people in the world that bought the Interpid Flexburn. Condar got back to me in minutes saying that they do not have one that fits (I couldn't fine one anywhere else either) They recommend using the cat for the Dauntless. They said it was close to the same size and that is what other customers had bought. I am going to pull my cat and measure it tonight to see how off it is.

Have you tried to see if your dealer can get you one from VC? That's what I had to do last year because I couldn't find one for my Dauntless anywhere else...Where are you guys getting cats at again? It's almost time to start getting prepped for the season and I want to get a cat before I can't find one.
The Dauntless is new. It takes a few years before the demand is up high enough for the replacement market.
@NewGuy132 is this the cat?

Now that there is a separate forum for VC stoves, the stove-specific bucket threads are redundant. It's also really hard to find past information in these big threads. Individual threads with titles make searching much easier. That's my 2¢ worth.Its that time of year.. I think we deserved a new 2023 thread.. what do you think
