Walked 10 acres of the property today and marked 2013 and 2014's firewood. It looks like I might have to take a few standing trees down this year. I threw in a couple of other photos of the trails before I ran the tractor down them. I was going to take pics after I got some of them bucked up but the dang camera battery died. it was absolutely gorgeous out in the woods today and I was able to get a couple of the of the ones that were down bucked and stacked.

Well it's a mix...
First post:
Picture 1-2: Elm (If you look at the first picture on the right side you will see some orange on a tree trunk which is a huge Buckeye I am going to girdle. I'll probably cut it down this summer and split then but it's low on the priority list)
Picture 3-5: Red Oak I have been waiting for this tree to bring itself down and it is being stubborn. I dont really want to wait to much longer or the whole base of the trunk will be shot.
Picture 6 : Cherry
Picture 7 : Red Oak
Picture 8 : The 3 logs in the photo are all Walnut.

If the camera hadn't died I also found 2 more oaks blown over and a beech tree that needs removed. I got the walnut bucked up most of it moved today. The Walnut stuff was so dry I could have burned it today so I might actually burn it sooner (like next year or late this year) and let some of my oak and hickory get 3 years on it.
