Could be warm temperatures affecting draft, wet wood, plugged cap, lots of things. Was the stove running well a month ago? Have you checked the moisture content of your wood?
The wood was to wet before and everything was plugged with creosote. It was doing great until the wet wood. I work out of town a lot, so nobody was checking the wood when I'm gone. I thoroughly cleaned everything from the top of the chimney to the inside of the insert. It's a 17 ft 6" stainless steel liner. The wood I'm using is dry now. It's only reaching 400 degrees F. On the top of the insert and the secondary burn doesn't seem to be happening?
Are you grabbing an ax, resplitting the wood and checking the inside of the freshly split wood? If not you are getting an inaccurate reading. It would be tough to get to 10% in a wet region like Washington.
