Once apon a time, Pacific Energy's engineers designed a state-of-the-art fireplace insert. They were so proud of the clean
burn, stay-clear viewing window, high efficiency and long burn time, they decided to simply give it the company name, and the Pacific
Insert was born. Some years later, improvements such as a stainless steel baffle system, larger view of the fire, and improved door
catch and draft control were incorporated, and the insert became known as the Pacific D1. Not satisfied, PE's engineers continued to
tweek the design, adding a wrap-around ash tray, cleaner facia and re-designed convection chamber to fit smaller fireplace openings:
they called this truly super version the Super Insert.
Finally, PE's design team crafted a cast iron facia to match the popular Alderlea series free-standing stove, and the Alderlea T5
Insert was born!
Built in a computer-controlled robotic assembly plant, each Pacific Alderlea T5 wood fireplace insert comes out just about as perfect
as can be. Weighing in at a hefty 475 pounds, the Alderlea T5 insert is designed to handle the internal temperatures required to heat
up to 2,000 sq.ft. of living space, yet is controllable enough to comfortably heat houses half that size. There's even a cooking surface!
Like all our wood burners, the Alderlea T5 insert surpasses stringent
EPA Phase II emissions standards
without a catalytic
converter.
Looking for an all-night burn? Super-tight Pacific Energy wood stoves sustained the longest burn time on one load of fuel among 61
models tested.
