Let's start the tour at the same place where the stoves and fireplaces start - the test lab. Here is where stoves are designed, tested and then tested again. In this picture is a moveable masonry fireplace that is used for insert testing. The yellow insulation in the background houses a "cold room" where the effects of frigid weather can be simulated to test how the stoves and vent systems react to extremes.
