So I have a bk princess with the optional convection deck. It forces a robust blast of air from the blowers across the top of the stove. No such thing is available from Englander for the nc30 so I made one. What do you think?

Now, even the weak oem ac16 blower makes a gust that is easily felt when seated in front of the stove. I will have to consider bumping up the blower capacity next.

Pretty cool, or should I say hot.

Thawing your keys out?
Nice work on the deck

Looks great. Best thing I did was fit a deck to the BK Princess.

If I find some fans for the PE then I might have a deck made at work.

Very nice! That has to make a big difference. I know my Quadra-fire step top (essentially what you have made yours into) can make it hard to stand in front of so I imagine you can get some serious heat out of that thing with a decent blower!

Couple details, 1.5" square tube 1/8" wall on the sides, then the top sheet is 18" x 24". This is a pretty big stove. No actual mods to stove. The deck just sets there. The flue cutout prevents it from walking away.

Oh and a coffee can lid is exactly the same od as the flue collar.

That looks like some quality fab work. Now I'm gonna have another project to add to the list.
