Read similar posts here but here goes. I get a wood pellet smell while stove is running. It is not a smoke smell but smells like very hot pellets with a very strong "wood" smell. This is more noticeable when running on high heat. I have two air quality monitors which are not picking up anything in the air and I have used a torch to look for any leaks at the T pipe/flue etc. I can smell "wood" at the room fan outlet. If I am behind the stove I can't smell anything or if I can it's nothing compared to what I can smell in front of the room exhaust outlet.

I can't see what/how/where this is coming from. I understand the stove works on negative pressure, so any smell such as smoke or whatever would not come out of the burn box due to a door gasket that needed to be replaced. It would come out of the fan or flue etc where the exhaust is blown. However, I'm not picking up anything on my air quality monitors, I can't see any smoke with a torch on startup and the smell doesn't appear to come from behind the stove. I can smell it when I am in front of the room outlet.

I've stripped and cleaned the stove but at a complete loss. Using an air compressor I cleaned the room exhaust outlet to make sure no dust/wood pellet fines were in there and I've previously completely cleaned the stove (deep clean, pulled it outside, every port etc cleaned).

Any ideas why I can smell the wood pellet "burning" smell primarily at the room exhaust outlet and when it's on high? It has to be "leaking" somehow but I've no idea how/where.

What is the make and model of the stove?

Pay special attention to the small piece of pipe(adapter) where your exhaust attaches to venting. Try putting a little soapy water around connection see if it bubbles. Your room fan is probably sucking the leak/smell inside stove rear area and blowing it out into room.

You say its more noticeable at high heat, are you sure your just not smelling hot pellets since the hoppers sit above the heat? Most stoves say not to run on high for more than 20 min give or take.
