Hello all,
Kevin here from NE Pa. I am currently running a Yankee Lopi pellet stove for the past 17 years or so. Maintained and cleaned pretty well all those years but now I noticed this past season there was a more than usual burn smell. Like at a campfire. A cleaning usually helps but not this time. I replaced the exhaust fan before last season so it was extra clean. Some if not all of the smell is coming from the top of the heating tubes and the shied above them. So my question is can the heating tubes be removed on this model? Pictures attached. It seems like it should and I removed a few screws but it didn't really budge. I'd like to check here before I tear into it. Thank you for any help.
