Is there any way to post the pics so they are larger? Try using the [ img ]... [ /img ] tags on each side. Do you have any shots of leaves/buds?

First thought is maple, with red streaks Acer negundo, box elder, but I'd like to see glaucus twigs to say for sure.

no bigger pics, took those with my cell phone before it got too dark. And I didn't take any of the leaves before I left the property I got them from. ctrl and + makes it pretty large though.
 
Whats all that white stuff on the ground next to the pile?
 
Can you describe the property where you found it? Was it wet? A stream nearby? A. negundo naturally grows in a riparian environment, but probably would take off anywhere the soil isn't dry. It's buggy, even has it's own box elder bug, so it probably isn't popular as an ornamental.

Yeah, it was on the edge of a wetland area. boxelder seems pretty reasonable to me. Thanks

11 inches of snow. mother nature was mad at us in MN this weekend.
