I am looking to change out a unit that turns off the circulator pump on a gasifier heat storage tank and turns on the oil furnace when the temp in the tank drops below a certain temp.
Problem with the unit (see attached pics) is it buzzes when no zones are calling for heat. This eventually cries the buzzing unit. I have been told perhaps the circuit board is faulty.
Any way I want to replace it with a Ranco 2 stage but not sure if that is all I need. And I am not sure how to hook it up.
Attached is the present connections on the unit. It is connected into a Taco to control the circulators for each zone.
If some one has ideas I would appreciate input. Thank you.

In my system i have a aquastate that switches off the circ pump that supplies the plate HX with hot water from storage once it drops below 100F,when the pimp gets switched off the power to my back up oil boiler gets turned on and it fires up.

Which could easily be done with a DPDT relay in the absence of a control board.
If something more sophisticated is needed/wanted, the Auber temp controllers are fairly cheap, and easy to use...and they have an excellent tech line if help is needed too!

Meant to post a link earlier...this is just an example...they have many different models to pick from

Yes what you describe is basically what happens with my system but I am not sure of the details of hooking up the system once I replace the present unit I am using. So I am looking for input from someone that can look at what I have take out the faulty unit and know how to wire in the Ranco if that will work.
