I love my woman! When I said that she looked at me kinda funny, so I explained it to her. Then she giggled and smiled. Proud. .... back story- She came home with a trunk load of wood this summer. I was like-"Cool, more to burn." Then another trunk load showed up. Then another. She told all her co-workers that we'll take their wood, and she's getting it basically delivered to her car! A trunk load at a time. At this point I think I could heat with this wood for a month. PLUS- it's not Pine! It's some hardwood (don't ask) with a dark heartwood and light outer ring- kinda stringy when split. Next year for burning. uh... it's not Pine so I don't care. Best part for me- no work, just stack it in the 11/12 or 12/13 stack. I'm tickled pink. :-)

Nice.................not that there is anything wrong with burning pine............

Ya gotta love it Beetle-Kill, coming home packing heat!

Wow . . . not bad . . . folks are delivering wood all bucked up . . . only way that could get better is if they split it and stacked it right at your house . . . or paid you to take it . . . or only gave you seasoned wood . . . or . . . well, it's still one heckuva deal.

LOL, my wife works at a bank. I am trying to imagine a bunch of women in their high heals moving wood from one trunk to another.

That sounds like something better udnerstood with pictures..........just sayin'

I mean, I now have a visual of the young 20-30 something bank tellers in their heels carrying wood to my truck.......this could evolve into a new fantasy before the day is over ;-)

Imagine those same young women carrying car parts for our 64 chev. This actually happened when my wife and I were first married, circa 1997. We are talking fenders and other big parts. I will say fire wood would be equaly cool too.

Sounds like you trained here right Beetle-Kill. Now just keep on loving her and you'll be a very happy couple for many, many moons.

Looong day- and they closed the Hwy again. Thanks guys, she IS too cool for school. Dennis, truth be told, her influence on me has better'd me for the last 16 years. My influence on her has been, well,...I don't know- BUT she admits she is a lot more patient and less cranky since then. See- if they love you, you can wear them down.

Beetle-Kill, a man and woman should influence each other and both become better for it. Still, mine stays a bit ornery...
