Hello. I have a 1994 whitfield advantage freestanding stove and where the ash pan is located there are 2 tubes. I know the one on the right is for fresh air but does anyone know what the left one is for. I have an insert that also has it and it has a metal cap on it but my freestanding does not have the cap. Is the cap needed and what is the purpose of the left tube. Thanks
