Hi everyone,
After determining the auger motor on my Whitfield Advantage II T stove needed replacement and when I disconnected auger motor wires, prior to disconnect power (yes I know, I should have confirmed power was off) I shorted them to ground causing 6 amp fuse on circuit board to blow.
Upon installation of new auger motor and replacement of fuse, I turned power on and noticed that auger motor runs constenly regarless if auger on / off switch is on or off. When switch is on indicator light blinks normally.
Could circuit board have been damaged although I see no evidence of anything wrong.
Any and all comments appriciated.

Thanks Arc, for the link. I sent a post from inside link that sent me but not certain it went to proper subject comments. I intend on replacing Triac but having difficulty reading pn with Triac still installed. Does anyone know the pn needed. Picture of control board attached.

part number = T835-600 if memory serves me it should be 1 of the 2 that have the heatsinks on them. i don't remember which. One thing to remember it is a very old board and the traces will lift if they are overheated so be real careful. Hope to see you post Positive results 👍

Use multi meter to test triacs, there should be 3 legs on each traic, test for continuity on each leg, with stove unplugged there should only be continuity between 2 of the legs if all three legs have continuity that is the bad triac.

Thank you both for your comment and suggestions. The Triac I’m looking to replace is the one that alternates power on and off to auger motor. I’m I wrong on my selection of Triac. Actually I had not identified the two circled on photo by Ssyko
