I have no experience with the Quad, but I love my Whit Advantage II 2T insert which was manufactured in 1990.
The Whit 2 T IS A GREAT STOVE
We run one in the family room (And have a spare in the basement under renovation)
We have the Whits baby brother, The Prodigy 2 in the living room as our shoulder season stove and the winter helper when it gets really cold.
Whitfield made a HELLUVA STOVE.
If it is in good condition it's a goody.
Most all hard parts are available (Fire brick, motors,fans, fire pots etc etc)
The ADV 2 T is a real workhorse.
Easy to work on/clean and or repair.
